Kansas City Chiefs safety Bryan Cook was carted off the field after suffering a gruesome-looking ankle injury against the Green Bay Packers.
As he tackled Packers running back AJ Dillon in the third quarter of Sunday's game, Cook's ankle appeared to get stuck underneath him and bend the wrong way.
Players on the sidelines immediately gathered around him as he was attended to by trainers and then loaded onto the cart with tears streaming down his face.
The NBC broadcast chose not to show the replay of the injury.
After leaving the field, Cook was initially labeled questionable. However, it wasn't long before he officially ruled himself out of the competition.
