According to reports, Xavier Worthy’s car was stolen from his Kansas City apartment earlier this week.

Worthy, who was selected by the Chiefs in the first round of the NFL Draft last month, had expected a warmer welcome for just over two weeks since joining the back-to-back Super Bowl champions.

But according to Kansas City police, via TMZ SportsThe 21-year-old wide receiver saw his car stolen from the Two Light apartment complex Monday morning after leaving it “parked, secured and intact” hours earlier.

Pro football talk reported for the first time on Thursday that Worthy’s loved ones are convinced that the photo was taken by ‘a professional group of criminals who ‘knew exactly what they were doing’.

Nevertheless, no one was injured as a result of the incident, while no arrests have been made so far.
