Chelsea are trying to hijack Liverpool’s talks with PSG over a sensational loan transfer for superstar Kylian Mbappé.
The Frenchman has 12 months left on his contract with PSG, although he has informed the Ligue 1 champions that he has no intention of extending his stay at the club.

Mbappe recently turned down an eye-watering £259 million world record bid from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal to join them for one season.

According to The Daily Reportthe 24-year-old is on a list of ‘loft’ players at PSG, alongside Georginio Wijnaldum and Julian Draxler looking to cash in on the star.
Despite Al-Hilal’s world record offer, Mbappe rejected all contract talks with the Saudi side. It is believed that a wage package at the club would have been worth an astonishing £603 million a year.
Liverpool’s offer looks particularly attractive to Mbappé as it gives him a way out of the Parc des Princes, brings money for PSG and allows the star to move to Madrid next year.
Mbappé has held talks with Liverpool in the past. In 2018, the Frenchman spoke of ‘Liverpool is my mum’s favorite club, my mum loves Liverpool’.
The star has always been full of praise for Jurgen Klopp’s side, although with Chelsea in the running this could be a kickstart to a heart-pounding race for the 2022 World Cup Golden Boot winner.

However, with Chelsea keen to replace the number nine at Stamford Bridge, the race for the French star would provide a strong boost to both teams.
