Charlize Theron showed off her new shorter haircut while dining out with a female friend at Sushi Park restaurant in Los Angeles.

As she made her way to the celebrity hot spot tucked away on the second floor of a nondescript strip mall on Sunset Boulevard, the 47-year-old actress cut a casual figure in an oversized black leather jacket, light wash jeans and sneakers.

For her laid-back outing, the Monster star, who recently dyed her blonde hair dark, wore her dark brown locks in a short shaggy bob.

The friend of the mother of two wore a white long sleeve shirt under a black sweater.

Charlize’s latest sighting comes after she spoke candidly about her career and fame Harper’s Bazaarsaying that she has never reached Kim Kardashian’s level.

“I feel like I’m in a place where it is what it is,” the Oscar winner said in September.

“Working more, I don’t think, will change my level of fame. It’s just always been a mediocre ride. I’ve never been one of those people with a Kim Kardashian level. But I feel like it’s always been that way.”

Charlize hasn’t been hit because she said she believes her star power has less money now than before.

She explained, “I’ll say, it used to be like, you want to have some of this fame so you can make the shit you really want to make.

“But now it’s like, I pitch all day and people say, ‘No, thanks.’ I’m like, “I guess that’s not cash in the bank anymore.” And that’s nice. It’s nice that you make things based on how good they are versus this idea of, like, “Oh, you’re this thing, and we want to do business with that thing.”

However, less time at work has its advantages, as she can spend more time with her daughters: 10-year-old Jackson and eight-year-old August.

Charlize said her kids are starting to realize her fame when she said, “Their friends ask things like, ‘Is your mom in a Marvel movie?’

She went on to say that they will sometimes see her appear in Dior fragrance ads as they go through the airport, which will often be an illicit response.

The A-list actress explained: “They’ll act like they’re so ashamed. They’ll say, “Oh God. Don’t look, Mom. There’s a huge picture of you.”

However, it’s not a world famous actress who means a lot to her kids, it’s the simpler things.

Charlize said, “When my kids say, ‘Mom, nobody makes pasta better than you,’ nothing comes close. I never need them to say, “Oh, you’re in that movie.”

“I still hold such a grudge that there is a mother in our circle who makes French toast that my child loves. And she gave me the recipe and I tried it. And every time I make it, my kid says, “No, Aunt Nicole’s is better.” And I’m like, motherfucker. I’m much more driven by that stuff.’
