Charley Webb is forced to close her children’s toy business

Charley Webb has revealed that she was forced to close her “dream” business, after struggling to find time to focus on running it.

The Emmerdale star created the Scandi-inspired Nordi Babi in 2020 with her husband and co-star Matthew Wolfenden, who sells children’s wooden toys.

Matthew and Charley were also working with their brother David in the business.

On Instagram, Charley wrote: ‘@nordi_babi is closing. I’ve loved this chapter and the journey it’s taken us on, but we just don’t have the time to execute it the way we want.

“I love everything Scandi, so this has been a dream.”

Charley told her 503k followers that she had been sitting in stationary traffic for some time when a woman drove her car into her.

She said: ‘He had been immobile for quite some time so obviously he wasn’t concentrating or looking where he was going because he came right behind me…

“Actually, it wasn’t that big of an impact, I didn’t jerk forward or anything, but my lower back, I’m in agony.”

He went on to explain that he didn’t initially feel the pain, chalking it up to adrenaline after the accident, however, he continued: ‘I don’t quite understand why it’s as bad as it is, but oh my word, it’s so painful.’

The mother-of-three noted that it was lucky that her youngest son, Ace, 21 months old at the time, was not in the car at the time.

She continued: ‘Luckily I didn’t have Ace in the car, because that would have been a different story. Obviously the car took a pretty big hit, but I have a pretty big car so it doesn’t show any big marks, but its bumper was definitely damaged.
