Charles Barkley reveals he lost $25MILLION gambling and risking $25,000 on hands in Las Vegas casinos left him ‘depressed’

Charles Barkley has revealed he has lost a cumulative $25 million gambling, with the basketball Hall of Famer sometimes feeling ‘depressed’ over his massive losses.

Barkley, who earned more than $40 million in the NBA and has been an analyst on TNT’s “Inside the NBA” since 2000, is known to have a strong affinity for gambling.

And speaking of Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcastBarkley revealed how high the stakes of some of his bets have been over the years.

“It’s probably happened seven times that I’ve won a million dollars,” he said.

“But it’s probably happened 25 times that I’ve lost a million.”

He continued, “I was so elated [when I won], but when I lost a million, I was so depressed. Because of the money, but because of the loss.

‘I would be depressed for a week [thinking]“Damn, I lost a million dollars?”

“I was spiraling out of control. As good as it feels to win, when you lose it just sucks.”

Speaking to Sharpe, Barkley revealed that he had stopped gambling for two years, and explained how he sometimes couldn’t bring himself to leave the casino.

“We’ll be sitting there, I’ll get up, and my friends would say, ‘Chuck, let’s go spend the night.’

“And in my head I’m saying, ‘No, we’re not leaving this motherfucker until I win a million dollars.’

Nevertheless, despite Barkley’s admitted gambling problems, it appears that Barkley is doing just fine financially.

The former power forward is reportedly worth $60 million today Net Worth of Celebrities.

He also has endorsement deals with Nike, Coca-Cola, Right Guard, McDonald’s and T-Mobile.
