Kendall Gilding has revealed that the birth of her second child has been an eventful one.

The 31-year-old Channel Seven news presenter gave birth to her son, a baby boy named Moses Morgan, in the shower at Mater Mother’s Hospital in South Brisbane, while her husband Tim Morgan caught the toddler as he exited the birth canal.

“I only worked actively for three hours, which is great, and he was born in the shower and Tim was able to catch him,” she says. The courier post.

“I was in the shower facing the wall and Tim was kneeling on the floor behind me…he was down there with the midwife ready to go and waiting to see what we got,” explained Kendall.

“Then Tim caught him, lifted him up to my chest and looked up at me and said, ‘It’s Moses.’ We didn’t know what we had, but we were sure that if it was a boy, that’s what it would be called. It was quite special.’

The couple, who previously struggled with fertility issues, announced their exciting news via Instagram last week, sharing a heartbreaking photo with their bundle of joy.

‘We’ve been living deep in the baby bubble! Wednesday our boy Moses Timothy Morgan arrived! 3.2 kg and 51 cm long,” Gilding wrote in the post.

‘I had a beautiful, liberating birth experience thanks to my dear husband and the [midwifery] team! I am a seriously blessed woman! God is good!’ she added.

Moses is Gilding and Morgan’s second child. The couple welcomed their daughter Olive, three, in 2019.

The Queensland-based newscaster wrote about how she knew the feeling of “desperately” wanting a family, explaining that she had gotten pregnant with Olive due to IVF treatments.

“But my heart’s desire was still to conceive naturally,” she continued. ‘After trying and trying, we went down the same medical path.

“Then at 11am, just a few days before surgery – I took a test and for the first time in our lives, we saw that small window turn positive!

Can’t wait for our tribe to grow! Bub #2 expected in September!’
