Channel Seven is reportedly looking for a new co-host to play Dr. to join Chris Brown in their home renovation series, Dream Home.
After the first season left network executives less than impressed, insiders suggest a major shakeup is on the horizon for the hit show.
Brown, 45, known for his charming screen presence, seemed perfectly suited for the hosting gig.
However, well-placed insiders have told it women’s Day that his solo performance was not entirely spot on.
The network is now looking for a co-host with a background in renovation and construction, someone reminiscent of the beloved Carrie Bickmore.

“They felt it was clear he needed a co-host,” an insider told the outlet.
“Shelley Craft fills that role very well alongside Scotty Cam on The Block,” the source continued.
Although they chose not to team a female co-host with Dr. Chris in structuring the new series, it appears this will be corrected.’

The insider went on to explain that the chemistry and dynamic that a co-host brings is essential to a show like Dream House.
“He needs someone who can bounce. He looks a little out of place on his own.”
It recently comes as producers for the series announced a casting call for season two.
According to the casting notification, creators are looking for couples who dream of renovating their home.
“Not only will your home be transformed into the home of your dreams – for free, you’ll also compete for a life-changing cash prize!” the post said.
‘You don’t have to be a tradie or even have any experience, just someone with an eye for design and a drive to get your hands dirty.’
This season’s winner will receive their own “dream home” and a grand prize of $100,000.
Renovator Lana Taylor, buyer’s agent Simon Cohen and interior designer Rosie Morley will join Brown as judges for the debut series.
