The college basketball season is still months away from officially starting, but things are already getting exciting for the Cavinder Twins in Miami.
After a year away from the court, Hanna and Haley Cavinder make a dramatic return to the University of Miami.
At the end of the 2022-23 season, the twin brothers announced that they would be leaving their active careers behind and focusing on future projects.
But it wasn’t until October 2023 that Haley decided to return to basketball. She transferred to TCU with the intention of playing her final season there in 2024-2025.
After watching her sister prepare for the upcoming season, Hanna decided she wanted to get back into sports too.

The twins led the ‘Canes to the Elite Eight in 2023 before retiring from the sport
“When I decided to retire from playing, I was excited to get more involved with the companies and brands we are a part of,” said Hanna told The New York Post in an email interview.
“But when I saw how Haley trained and prepared for the season, I realized I wasn’t ready to stop playing.
“I love basketball and I know I can’t play it forever. Being with my sister is the perfect way to finish my career.”
Not only did Hanna announce she would be returning to Miami for one final season, she was also joined by her sister Haley, who opted out of TCU to return to play for the Hurricanes.
It promises to be a triumphant return for the twins who led the ‘Canes to the Elite Eight in 2023.
“We both feel like we have more to offer,” Haley said. “We want to end our college basketball careers on a high note, and we wanted to do that together.
‘The support from our coaches, teammates and family made it clear that this was the right move for us.
“We both knew we had some things to finish on the field and we wanted to give it another try together.”
Just last month, the Cavinder Twins graced the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway
Hanna and Haley are also both the faces of the new NIL era of college sports, earning millions of dollars through endorsement deals, including a three-year deal with sportswear giant Under Armour.
They were also seen on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway in Miami last month.
Not only have they partnered with brands, but they have also launched their own brand: Hustle Beauty, a cosmetics brand.
