Carrie Underwood’s decision to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20 is dividing fans.
Amid the country singer’s controversial move, another rumored feud has surfaced: between Carrie and actress Hilary Duff.
The rumored feud was not confirmed by either star, but fans have long suspected that there was bad blood between the two celebrities.
Fans have come forward with what they say is evidence that Hilary, 35, is killing Carrie, 41, amid news that the American Idol winner will perform at Trump’s inauguration.
Hilary’s then-husband Mike Comrie and Carrie’s husband Mike Fisher both played professional hockey in the NHL – and the stars were pictured in an image from a 2007 Ottawa Senators game where they sat in different rows and Hilary appeared to ignore Carrie.

The rumored feud resurfaced this week following news that Carrie would perform America the Beautiful at Trump’s inauguration.
Comrie and Fisher briefly played on the same team – the Ottawa Senators – during the 2006-07 season before Comrie was traded to the New York Islanders.
Threads user @jaystep posted a photo of the blonde stunners at one of the games their husbands played in together, with the two most likely sitting in a VIP suite for the WAGs.
The superstars sat in different rows and didn’t appear to interact in the frame – with Hilary closer together – and away from Carrie.
The Threads user’s post went viral on the app, which read: ‘Remember when Hilary Duff refused to sit with or acknowledge/interact with Carrie Underwood when their husbands both played for the same hockey team and there were unaddressed rumors for months were they hating each other other…? Hilary always keeps winning.”
It received more than 56,000 likes and more than seven thousand comments, many of which were negative about Carrie — or simply wondering if she was a pro-Trump person.
Many of the comments were positive Hilary messages or remembered a time when Hilary showed her kind and loving heart.
Hilary started dating Comrie in 2007, with the couple getting engaged in February 2010 and married in August 2010.
They welcomed their only child together: son Luca Cruz Comrie on March 20, 2012 and the couple separated in 2014, with their divorce finalized in 2016.
Hilary moved on and married singer/songwriter Matthew Koma (born Matthew Bair) in December 2019, after dating since 2017.

Hilary and Matthew have three children together: daughters Banks Violet Bair, five, Mae James Bair, three, and Townes Meadow Bair, eight months.
Carrie is married to Mike Fisher, whom she first started dating in 2008, and got engaged the following year.
They tied the knot in July 2010 and have since welcomed two sons: Isaiah, nine, and Jacob, five.
However, it seems like the superstars were friendly, as evidenced by an interview Hilary did in 2011.
She was interviewed by Marc Malkin and Brett Malee Today.comwhere she revealed that she and Carrie talk.
She said she was jokingly jealous of Carrie because Mike Fisher (Carrie’s husband) was traded from Ottawa to Nashville, Tennessee, and Hilary’s then-husband Mike Comrie was traded to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – which was further from LA.
‘I’m a little jealous of her [Carrie] now because he just got traded to Nashville,” she joked to reporters.
‘Really and truly? I’m like, Come on! I’ll take San Jose, I’ll take any place closer than Pittsburgh!’ she said.
“I really like Pittsburgh [thought] and the team is really good,” Hilary added at the time.
She also revealed that she and Carrie talk because they were both WAGs and in the public eye.
Hilary said: “We get it [long-distance marriage] because we are going through pretty much the same thing. When we see each other, we are [talk]. Our boys played on the same team for a while, so it was nice to see her there.”

The country-singing superstar, 41, is scheduled to sing America The Beautiful after Trump is sworn in — as is his Vice President JD Vance.
Fans are divided over the news, with some praising the artist while others condemn her controversial performance at Trump’s inauguration.
As one fan put it, “Carrie is about to get the whole country talking. Iconic move or controversial queen?’
One person said: ‘Disgusting, thought she had morals. It was all a sham,” while another thanked her via X, formerly Twitter.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event.” “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and look to the future,” she said in a statement to USA Today on Monday.
Carrie will perform the song with The Armed Forces Chorus and The United States Naval Academy Glee Club on January 20, after Trump is sworn in by the Chief Justice of the United States.
Another called it “perfect,” while another said she was a “solid choice.”
“No Kid Rock or Jason Aldean using Carrie Underwood to draw [sic] the appreciation for Trump, I’m not going to watch a convict take the oath, what a joke,’ someone wrote on X.’
Kid Rock and Jason have both been very public about their support for Trump.
Another had harsh words for the rest of Hollywood when he heard the news about Carrie.

“Nice to know she’s not a blood-sucking Hollywood vampire,” they wrote.
“Good for Carrie Underwood,” one Trump follower exclaimed on the social media site.

“Sorry Taylor Swift, you didn’t make it,” they wrote rudely.
One person brought up a 2017 sketch that Carrie participated in with Brad Paisley, co-host of her CMA.
The X user had written: ‘How convenient for her liberal a**. Bend the knee, you stupid b****.”
In 2017, Carrie and Brad joked about Trump’s tweets at the time.
“Now Brad, I don’t know if you’ve heard of this, but the CMA has given us some ‘guidelines’ of specific topics to avoid,” she said during the live broadcast.
“So we can’t do any of our crazy songs because the show is a ‘politics-free zone’ this year.” she added.
At that moment, Brad starts playing guitar and singing to the rhythm of Carrie’s song Before He Cheats – while using new lyrics.
“Right now he’s probably sitting in his pajamas watching cable news and pulling out his cell phone. Right now he’s probably asking Siri how the hell you spell Pocahontas,” Brad sang.
Carrie simply responded with, “Well, here we go.”

Brad continued, “In the middle of the night, from the privacy of a gilded toilet seat in the White House, he writes little Bob Corker, NFL and covfefe.”
At the time, they both laughed at “covfefe,” which is believed to be a spelling mistake Trump, 78, made in a tweet he shared after becoming president in January 2017.
“And it’s fun to watch, yeah, that’s for sure, until the little rockin’ guy plays nuclear war. And maybe next time he’ll think before he tweets,” Brad sang.
In 2019, Carrie spoke to The Guardian, where she said she “stays well out of politics if possible, at least publicly, because no one wins.”
She added: “It’s crazy. Everyone tries to summarize everything and put a bow on it, as if it were black and white. And that’s not how it is.’
The inauguration will take place on January 20, 2025 at 12 noon.
