Carrie Fisher lost her virginity to childhood pal Griffin Dunne and remained friends until her death at age 60: ‘We had a few practice sessions’

The late Carrie Fisher considered her virginity a “burden,” so she asked her childhood friend Griffin Dunne to deflower her when they were teenagers in London in the early 1970s.

“I was doing her a favor,” the 68-year-old This Is Us alum recalled Page six on Saturday.

“She had a boyfriend and she didn’t want him to know she was a virgin, and she trusted me and gave me credit.”

But it wasn’t clinical for Carrie and Griffin — who later shared an apartment at the Hotel Des Artistes in Manhattan — when he said, “No, we were looking forward to it.” We had a number of practice sessions. Look at her, she was beautiful! I couldn’t have been more lucky. (I wasn’t) a Casanova, but I had a bit more experience.’

Dunne remained friends with Fisher until her death, at age 60, in 2016 from sleep apnea (and cocaine in her system) thanks to their “core group of friends” who keep in touch via group chat.

“(We share) an irreverent dirty story (about her) or the funniest, most unpublishable things you can imagine,” the Emmy-nominated actor served up.

The Star Wars icon and NY Times bestseller was married to 12-time Grammy winner Paul Simon from 1977 to 1983, and she is survived by her daughter Billie Lourd with CAA co-chairman Bryan Lourd.

At the age of 13, Dunne’s mother brought him to his famous aunt Joan Didion’s house in Los Angeles for a party celebrating Tom Wolfe’s The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, which was attended by Janis Joplin.

“Janis arrived so late that Mom took me home before I could meet her. I’m just now getting over it,” said the Oscar-nominated producer regretted.

Griffin later produced and directed the late author’s critically acclaimed 2017 Netflix documentary, Joan Didion: The Center Will Not Hold.

The $39.99 “family story” also details the gruesome murder and subsequent trial of Dunne’s 22-year-old sister Dominique, which marked the beginning of their father Dominick Dunne’s career as a crime reporter for Vanity Fair.

The Independent Spirit Award winner begins his book tour on June 12 at the Rare Book Room at The Strand in his native New York City, followed by a reading on June 15 at Oblong Books in Rhinebeck, NY.
