Carol Vorderman reveals she missed out on flaunting her body in a latex dress after SLEEPING THROUGH pal Nathan Sussex’s wedding… and is now branded ‘Snorderman’

Carol Vorderman has confessed she never got to show off the sexy, form-fitting latex dress she had been planning for months to wow guests at the wedding of her former radio presenter and close friend Nathan Sussex.

The 63-year-old star will appear alongside Nathan, who plays football coach villain Buster Smith in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, on next week’s episode of TV show Unforgivable.

The ex-Countdown star revealed she slept through the night at the wedding, prompting concerned guests to begin a frantic search of the venue – unaware that a planned power nap had locked her out of her hotel room.

She didn’t even answer the banging on the door or phone calls while she slept during the six hours of fun that went on until 2am and even a loud firework display before emerging the next day.

Carol had even spent two years excitedly discussing plans for last summer’s event with groom Nathan, who tied the knot with Jemajesty Lloyd and is one of Carol’s best friends, while co-hosting their former BBC Radio Wales show.

Carol, named Carol Snorederman after her reason for no-show was revealed, says in the program: ‘One of my best friends, Nathan Sussex – we used to do a radio show together on Saturdays before I was fired from the BBC…

“So he was getting married to Jemy, so we had been talking about this wedding for at least two years. We talked about it on the show, I knew every detail of this wedding…

‘The day of the wedding we all came, there were about 200 of us. ‘At nine o’clock they had to convert the main hall for the disco – another 100 people came – so we talked about our outfits for months…

“So I had this green rhinestone dress for today. I have this latex black dress and the gloves for the night. So they say, ‘Oh, we can’t wait, we can’t wait.’

‘All my gay friends say ‘let’s go get changed’, so I go to my room and think: ‘I’ll take a power nap, I’ll dream for five minutes.’

‘Six hours later… I’d missed the disco, I’d missed the fireworks, which meant Sydney Bridge would look nothing on New Year’s Eve.

‘They had knocked on my door, I had 273 messages on my phone, they couldn’t find me. “I’ve felt completely ashamed ever since.”

Carol’s confession is seen as she reunites with Nathan for the first time since her Saturday morning BBC Radio Wales show over her outspoken political views. Nathan said: ‘It was like Dynasty was on crack. There was a costume change, so it was glitz and glamor in the evening.

“Everyone’s running around saying, ‘Where’s Carol?’ “I thought she went home.”

Carol’s recording can be seen on Tuesdays at 10pm on Unforgivable on Dave or streamed on UKTV Play.
