Cara Delevingne has insisted she is still sober after trolls accused her of being ‘coked up’ during a viral interview at the 2024 Met Gala on Monday.

The supermodel, 31, sparked concern among fans when she was interviewed alongside Ed Sheeran and Stella McCartney on the red carpet, wearing a quirky custom VRAI x Stella McCartney hooded garment.

One fan commented on a E! video: ‘They stop her from ruining the interview because she was so drunk she had to intervene.’

Delevingne herself then jumped into the comments, writing, “Clearly for almost two years!! Thanks for the support.’

It comes after Cara revealed she checked herself into rehab after ‘heartbreaking’ images published by DailyMail.com in 2022 woke her up.

She said she reflected on her mental health issues and battle with addiction after becoming concerned about a series of troubled public appearances.

Speak with Fashion magazine as their April cover star, she confessed that she hadn’t been “ready” to tackle her demons until she found herself in a “bad place.”

She explained: ‘I had some kind of interventions, but I wasn’t ready for it. That is the problem.

‘I hadn’t seen a therapist in three years. I just pushed everyone away, which made me realize how much of a bad place I was.”

Disturbing footage showed the star appearing nervous and anxious outside Van Nuys Airport as she wandered around in dirty socks and no shoes.

The photos raised concerns among her fans about her health, as she appeared with sunken, dark eyes while smoking a pipe in her car.

According to DailyMail.com sources, the former ‘it girl’ appeared to be unable to control her body movements at points after going outside and taking a phone call.

Despite being two hours late for a private jet flight, she was seen wandering outside looking tense, as if she couldn’t stop moving.

Later, the Only Murders in the Building star said that visits from friends and family during her crisis made her realize how loved she is.

Cara continues: ‘I always thought that the work has to be done in bad times, but actually the work has to be done in good times.

‘The work must be done consistently. It will never heal or be completely cured, but I’m okay with that, and that’s the difference.”

Her well-being was at the forefront of her friends and family’s concerns last year after she was photographed behaving erratically on several occasions.

The model explained that she had been lying to herself about her health and it wasn’t until she saw herself in the airport photos that she realized she needed help.

‘I hadn’t slept. “I wasn’t doing well,” she explained. “It’s heartbreaking because I thought I was having fun, but at one point I thought, ‘Okay, I don’t look good.’

“You know, sometimes you need a reality check, so in a way those photos were something to be grateful for.”
