Wild police chase ends in chaos when driver rolls car after reportedly reaching 90 mph – before being pinned down in civilian arrest

A driver has been arrested after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase and rolling their car before pinning them down in a civilian arrest.
Youseff Rima, 37, reportedly rolled over his Hyundai Tucson SUV after reaching speeds of up to 140 km/h in Guildford, western Sydney, at 11pm Friday.
Rima reportedly tried to flee on foot after rolling the car before being tackled to the ground by local Adnan Obeid on Chiswick Road.
He was subsequently arrested by police, charged with drug, driving and motor vehicle offenses and refused bail after appearing before Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

Police began chasing Rima after allegedly seeing him run through a red light at the junction of Guildford Road and Woodville Road.
“When the vehicle failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated,” NSW police said in a statement.
“The vehicle was chased into Chiswick Road where it is alleged that the vehicle reached speeds of up to 140 km/h.”
“A short time later the vehicle collided with a retaining wall at the junction of Clyde Street and Chiswick Road before crashing into a parked car and then coming to rest on its side.”
Rima’s wrecked vehicle landed on the footpath in front of the wall it collided with and the crash resulted in one of the vehicle’s wheels coming loose.
Officers said they had discontinued the pursuit before the crash due to safety concerns.
The pensioner whose front wall hit the Hyundai said he had just gone to sleep when a huge bang sounded “like a clap of thunder.”
When police intervened, Rima reportedly threw a bag of marijuana at them and later tested positive for being under the influence of drugs.
He was said to be driving a car without headlights and had his driver’s license previously suspended for previous offences.

Rima was denied bail in Parramatta bailiff court on Saturday.
In his opposition to bail, the police prosecutor said it was only by luck that the main damage to property was done.
“He is very lucky to not face more serious charges because no members of the public were injured,” the prosecutor told the court.
“There is a huge risk that the safety of the community will be compromised (if Rima is released on bail).”
Acting Magistrate John Bailey said: “One wonders if he was trying to get to 125 miles so the police would stop chasing.”
Rima denied this.
Rima’s legal counsel said his driving bans were long overdue and he had regained his full driver’s license.
