Campbell Hatton has admitted he has ‘no fight’ after the first loss of his career.
The 23-year-old, the son of boxing legend Ricky Hatton, had won all 14 of his previous fights going into his fight with James Flint for the Central Area super lightweight title.
Although Hatton was widely expected to triumph, he ultimately suffered a shock defeat in Sheffield, with Flint retaining his title on a unanimous points decision.
Flint won by scores of 98-92, 97-94 and 97-95 in an entertaining encounter.
Hatton stated that he will learn from the fight and says he is eager to get back in the ring as soon as possible.

After the fight, Hatton said: ‘At first I stuck to the plan, but I have no arguments, he came on strong.
‘I think I’ve done enough, but no arguments. I just have to learn.
‘I’d like to do that again. All respect to Jimmy Joe.’
Hatton was also keen to point out that he isn’t just gaining recognition in boxing because of his father.
He said: ‘I hope I’ve shown a few people that I’m more than a silver spoon, I can dig.’
Flint emphasized that Campbell will be able to bounce back from the defeat quickly.
He said: ‘Well done Campbell, he will come back, he is a great fighter who will come again.’
