Callum and Jake Robinson: Desperate search underway for Aussie brothers who went missing on Mexican surfing trip

Two Western Australian brothers have disappeared during a surfing trip to Mexico, sparking a desperate search.

Jake and Callum Robinson are believed to be missing in the Baja California region near Ensenada on the northwest coast of Mexico.

After regularly sharing posts on social media about the first two days of their trip, they made no contact for four days.

According to reports in Mexican local media, a Special Operations Group has been dispatched to join police in their search for the missing brothers.

Jake Robinson, a doctor, was visiting his brother, a lacrosse player from the United States, and the avid surfers had made the trip to Mexico with another friend.

The brothers’ family are reportedly trying to arrange trips to the region to look for them.

The couple’s mother, Debra Robinson, has appealed for help on social media.

“They are traveling with another friend, a U.S. citizen,” she said.

“They were supposed to book an Airbnb in Rosarito after their camping weekend, but they didn’t show up.

‘Callum has type 1 diabetes, so there is also a medical problem.’
