CAA: A fading story

It appeared that the Modi government’s notification of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) rules had failed in the immediate purpose of its timing: to overshadow the Supreme Court’s order on anonymous electoral bonds. The story of the band had fuel to last.

The CAA died out until two things happened. First, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal attacked the law as an invitation to millions of poor and unemployed.
