Brittany Mahomes UNMASKED as ‘fake and disloyal’ to Taylor Swift, as red flags from ‘desperate opportunist’ are exposed

It was the moment that seemed to cement Brittany Mahomes as Taylor Swift’s newest celeb bestie.

Swift, the newest WAG in the ranks of the Kansas City Chiefs, stepped out to Lambeau Field in Wisconsin last December to support her tight end boyfriend Travis Kelce, wearing a striking red jacket.

Once on the hunt for “Easter Eggs” clues left by the pop superstar, eagle-eyed Swifties immediately pointed out that the jacket appeared to belong to Mahomes, the wife of quarterback Patrick.

And it was true that the ladies soon seemed inseparable, socializing together in the stadium stands, taking shots in front of the jumbotron and dancing together at riotous after-parties.

Swift even appeared to have accepted Mahomes into her very select group of girlfriends when they were pictured enjoying a night out alongside Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Sophie Turner in November.

In February, Mahomes posed in barely-there bikinis for Sports Illustrated and told the magazine about her shock when she was chosen for the shoot. ‘Never in my wildest dreams,’ she said, in what many saw as a sweet reference to one of Swift’s most famous songs.

But now insiders are questioning the strength of that friendship, with some suggesting Mahomes was far more keen than Swift to give the audience an impression of closeness.

The first sign of trouble in the friend paradise came when Mahomes appeared in an ad for Skims, Kim Kardashian’s underwear brand.

Posing alongside Patrick and their two children in cozy Christmas pajamas, Brittany shared the promotional photos on her personal Instagram last November, saying, “The holidays start with Skims.”

Naturally, Swift has been embroiled in a years-long rivalry with Kardashian, which shows no signs of cooling down. Just last week, Swift’s new album included an apparent “diss track” aimed at Kim.

Sources now tell DailyMail.com that people close to Swift found it “super strange” that Mahomes was doing the campaign.

“It really showed how loyal she is to her friends. And Brittany chose money over friendship, which says a lot,” the source said.

As for the pair’s close bond, the source said Mahomes is only “acting like Taylor’s BFF” because she “desperately wants to be known” and be seen as more than “a trophy wife for an NFL star.”

‘She tried so hard to fit into Swift’s circle. She’s wanted to be relevant for so long and she finally found it,” said another source who suggested Mahomes’ Skims’ “betrayal” is very revealing.

“She has too many warning signs and people are starting to see through her fake and bitchy personality,” the source said. “She’s an opportunist and clearly not a girly girl.”

It’s clear that Swift is “too busy” to “see” Mahomes’ behavior for what it is, and that the pair haven’t hung out since at least the Super Bowl in February.

Insiders also point to a series of cruel tweets about Swift written by Mahomes many years ago.

In one from 2012, Mahomes writes, “Taylor Swift, I want to know when you’re going to find something to write about other than boys and relationships #timeforsomethingnew.”

A source said Mahomes would undoubtedly attribute the tweets to the actions of “a stupid teenager” and insist that “she now loves Taylor’s music.” But apparently such excuses are not enough.

“Things just aren’t sitting well with Taylor’s friends,” the source said. ‘People are starting to see through Brittany’s bulls***. If Taylor wasn’t dating her husband’s teammate, I’m sure Brittany would still be talking trash.”

At the time of publication, Mahomes had not responded to requests for comment, but a public feud with Swift certainly wouldn’t be Mahomes’ first public misstep.

In February, she came under intense criticism after appearing to push through post-Super Bowl celebrations in Kansas City after a terrifying shooting during the Chiefs’ victory parade left one dead and more than two dozen injured.

Mahomes was pictured smiling while enjoying food and drinks at a dive bar just hours after the attack, with many victims still in critical condition.

And then there is the perceived treatment of the staff.

In January, fans criticized Mahomes’ high horse attitude after a clip emerged of her speaking disparagingly to a stadium employee.

In the video, Mahomes is seen walking with her husband after a game when she turns to an employee and abruptly asks, “Where do we go from here?” while turning her finger in a circle.

The clip went viral and sparked a wave of gossip about the star’s past behavior.

Of particular note, TikToker Jessica O’Connor claimed she had previously worked at a Hollywood hotel that Brittany visited in 2022 and had not tipped the staff.

“On my first interaction with her, she paid a bill for $100. She was with her entire group – Patrick wasn’t there – but I believe their bill was well over $100, maybe $130. A $0 tip,” O’Connor said.

Others who also claimed to have served Mahomes then piled on the pressure in the comments section, with one claiming, “Can confirm! I was a bottle server at a nightclub in Kansas City and this is 100 percent my experience as well.”

Certainly, Mahomes lives a very luxurious lifestyle. Patrick reportedly makes $53 million a year, while she owns her own fitness company and has a major stake in a women’s soccer team, the Kanas City Current.

The Mahomeses live on a sprawling $8 million estate in Kansas City, complete with an indoor basketball court, home gym, movie theater, swimming pool, golf course and, of course, a 50-yard football field.

There’s also a $5.5 million Texas mansion for vacations, and a host of exotic international trips.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated before that February interview, Mahomes admitted, “People are either going to love you or hate you.”

No doubt she hopes to avoid too much of the latter.
