Britney Spears ‘wants to mend her relationship with father Jamie’ amid a bitter divorce battle with Sam Asghari

Britney Spears wants to mend her relationship with her father, almost two years after the controversial conservatorship he kept her under came to an end.

It is said that the 41-year-old pop star is concerned about Jamie Spears’ health and doesn’t want to “regret waiting too long” to get in touch.

According to TMZJamie has suffered complications following a knee replacement 16 years ago, with Britney’s brother Bryan updating her on the latest health concerns.

Jamie is said to be “thrilled” at the opportunity to rebuild a friendship with his daughter and harbors no ill will following their legal battle.

Britney is currently only in contact with her brother, while the rest of her family are concerned about her well-being after she split from husband Sam Asghari.

She is still in the middle of a legal battle with her father, who she is suing for abuse by the conservator.

Jamie has defended his actions, claiming Britney would be dead without the trusteeship.

MailOnline has reached out to Britney’s representatives for comment.

Britney is apparently once again estranged from her entire family after patching things up earlier this year.

Last month, she allegedly made amends with her mother Lynne and sister Jamie Lynn and removed a slew of “annoying” content about them from her tell-all memoir, The Woman In Me.

According to a source very close to the pop star, Britney had initially expressed her “anger” in her book at the way her relatives handled her thirteen-year conservatorship.

However, in recent weeks she has ‘let go’ of all of this and made the decision to delete the harshest passages from her memoir, hoping this will help her ‘heal’ her relationship with Lynne, 68, and Jamie Lynn, 32 .

“Britney was not asked by Lynne or Jamie Lynn to delete some of the nasty things she had written about them,” the source revealed to DailyMail.com. “It was her choice to do this.”

Britney’s tumultuous relationship with her younger sister Jamie Lynn, exacerbated by scathing accusations Jamie Lynn made in her 2022 book Things I Should Have Said, is “the best it’s ever been,” the source claims. “Britney and Jamie made a pact never to throw each other under the bus.”

Two months before breaking bread with Jamie Lynn, in May, Lynne flew from Kentwood, Louisiana to Los Angeles to pay a surprise visit to Britney at her Thousand Oaks home.

The stage mom’s efforts paid off, as they sat down for 30 minutes and were able to work through their issues and undo the damage done by the horrific 13-year conservatorship.

A source told DailyMail.com exclusively at the time that Lynn’s only goal was to reunite her two daughters, stating that she “wouldn’t rest” until it was done.

“Lynne is now begging Britney to make amends with her sister Jamie Lynn,” the insider said. They both lean towards a yes. Lynne knows that Britney misses her sister and she told her the feeling is clearly mutual.”
