A British woman was killed and an Italian man seriously injured after a motorcycle collided with another vehicle in a Portuguese coastal town.
A warning for the accident on National Road (EN) 109 in QuintaĆ£, in the municipality of Vagos, was issued at 9:08 p.m. on Monday.

The tragedy happened a day after a British cyclist was killed in a collision in Spain.
The 69-year-old died as a result of injuries sustained after being knocked off his bicycle on a road in the Turre commune near Almeria in the south-east of the country.

Quinta, in the municipality of Vagos, is located on the coast, about 90 km south of Porto
The incident occurred near a local fire station around 10:30 am.
Attempts to save his life on the spot proved unsuccessful.
A 66-year-old man believed to be living at the scene was arrested shortly after the incident and appeared in court yesterday on suspicion of manslaughter and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
He was released on bail pending an ongoing investigation.
