A British expat travelling in Australia has been branded a “whiny pom” after claiming Australians are difficult to get along with.
Kyle began to doubt his sense of humor after speaking to locals Down Under.
“Is it just me or are Australians really that damn difficult to get along with?” he asked in a now-viral post. video.
‘I don’t mean they’re rude or anything, although some can be. But in my experience it’s really hard to have a laugh with Australians. They just don’t get it.
“You try to throw in a quick comment and joke around a bit, but all you’re met with is the coldest stare in the world.”
Kyle added that he “doesn’t understand” why this is the case as Australians “speak the same language”.
Within 48 hours, the video had been viewed over 92,000 times, with many citing differences in sense of humor.
However, others claimed that Kyle is ‘the problem’.

“No mate, it’s all on you,” someone wrote.
‘A Pom? Fuss? I’ve never seen anything like it in my life!’ said another.
“We Australians have our own sense of humour,” added a third.
Someone else said: ‘Australians are the funniest people I’ve ever met! (I’m British)’
“We love black humor,” added another.
One of them encouraged Kyle to visit New Zealand instead.
“I’m Irish and I find Australians and New Zealanders very easy going,” one man argued.
However, others agreed with Kyle.
“I had the same problem with the English when I was there. We’re just different, I guess,” said one Australian.
“I’m Australian and I agree with you that the English are easier to get along with,” wrote another.
