Brennan Johnson is out of the Wales squad for a pair of Euro 2024 qualifiers after picking up a groin injury.
The Nottingham Forest midfielder did not travel with the team to Croatia for their opener, and will also miss their next qualifier against Latvia.
The 21-year-old was named to the Wales squad earlier this month, having made his country debut in 2020.
Rob Page’s side will begin their campaign in Group D by playing Croatia in Split on Saturday night, before hosting Latvia in Cardiff three days later.
Wales reached the round of 16 at Euro 2020, when they were knocked out by Denmark in June 2021 after a 4-0 defeat in Amsterdam.

Johnson’s role in these qualifiers was in doubt after taking a knock during Nottingham Forest’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur on 11 March.
But he was included in Wales’ 24-man squad as they embark on a new era following the retirement of Gareth Bale.
Johnson has scored seven goals for Forest since returning from the World Cup, where Wales were knocked out in the group stage with one win and two draws in their Group B matches.
