It’s unclear if Governor Doug Burgum, 67, will be on the debate stage Wednesday night after being rushed to the emergency room in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, after a basketball injury.
While playing a game with his staff on Tuesday, the North Dakota governor was injured and required medical attention, a source familiar with the situation said. told CNN.
They added that it is unknown if Burgum will be able to take the stage for the GOP’s first primary debate Wednesday at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum arena.
Burgum is one of eight candidates who made it to the podium by meeting poll and donor requirements and signing the RNC pledge to support the final nominee.
