A three-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to Greenbank Drive in Blacktown at around midday on Saturday after reports that a young boy had been hit by a car.
The toddler was treated for serious head injuries before being rushed to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A CareFlight spokesperson said this quick intervention and the specialist doctor ‘might have saved the child’s life’.
The condition of the three-year-old boy is serious and not life-threatening.
A Honda Accord has been seized for forensic examination, with the 22-year-old male driver taken to hospital for mandatory tests.
NSW Police said investigations into the incident are ongoing.
