Bindi Irwin Shares Never-Before-Seen Video of Her Late Father Steve Filming a Dangerous Stunt with a Dangerous Komodo Dragon

Bindi Irwin shared an incredible throwback video of her late father Steve Irwin.

In honor of World Lizard Day on August 14, Bindi, 25, posted a clip of her father crawling on all fours in the grass next to a giant Komodo dragon.

“From our family to yours, happy world lizard day,” Bindi captioned the post.

Steve, who tragically died in 2006, can be heard on the soundtrack describing the giant creature, a species known to grow up to ten feet tall.

“The largest and certainly the most dangerous lizard on Earth, the legendary Komodo dragon,” Steve says in the clip.

Fans were quick to praise Steve for his brave stunt under Bindi’s post.

“Whoever said dinosaurs went extinct is lying,” one baffled fan wrote.

“I miss Steve,” another wrote, adding, “He brought everyone together through his love of animals.”

Another fan gushed, “Holy crap, your dad was brave.

“We saw these lizards in Komodo National Park and I never would have done that. But maybe your father raised it from a boy and they were buddies. I don’t know you, but I love you from Alaska, Miss Bindi.’

Steve, known to millions around the world as ‘the Crocodile Hunter’, died on September 4, 2006, at the age of 44 after being stabbed in the chest by a stingray while filming a documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland.

It comes after claims Bindi fears for her husband Chandler Powell’s life after he had a gruesome close call with a crocodile at Australia Zoo.

Chandler, who married Bindi in 2020, had a show at Irwin Zoo in Queensland, which was narrated by his mother-in-law Terri Irwin, when the huge reptile came upon him.

Terri, 59, was reportedly heard telling Chandler to “swim away” when the huge crocodile dived underwater to chase him.

Terrified for her partner’s life, Bindi reportedly puts her foot down to end the risk-taking.

The pair share a two-year-old daughter Grace.
