Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen responded to social media users who pointed out that he wasn’t keeping a door open for his girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld by claiming the reason was because he ripped his pants.
Allen posted a tweet that read, “My pants tore during dinner… I didn’t want any cheeks out… I love Paris,” along with several emojis.
The video showed no visible tears in Allen’s pants, as they were covered by a black jacket wrapped around his waist as he walked the short distance from their vehicle to what appeared to be their hotel.
Smith and another woman exited the vehicle shortly behind Allen before Smith stopped to take a photo with a fan.
No other videos or photos of Allen and Smith from the hotel have emerged either.

Allen is enjoying his offseason after an up-and-down performance in 2023.
He finished last season with 4,306 yards, 29 touchdowns, 18 interceptions and a 66.5 completion percentage.
Additionally, he led the Bills to the playoffs again before they suffered a postseason loss to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Things will look a little different for Allen when he returns to Orchard Park next season.
Buffalo traded center Ryan Bates to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2024 fifth-round draft pick.
Bates entered the league in 2019 as an undrafted free agent who joined the Philadelphia Eagles before the Penn State alumni were traded to Buffalo a few months later.
During his five seasons with the Bills, Bates played in 73 games and made 19 starting appearances.
The Bears had attempted to sign Bates as a restricted free agent in 2022, but Buffalo opted to match the contract offer.
