Billie Shepherd reveals she would cry when her son Arthur got too close to daughter Margot
Billie Shepherd recounted how she broke down in tears when her son Arthur began to ‘suffocate’ her and their baby daughter Margot after she was born.
The Family Diaries star, 32, welcomed her youngest daughter Margot into the world in December, and has revealed how her eldest daughter Nelly, eight, and son Arthur, six, have adjusted to the new arrival.
Speaking about how the siblings have bonded, she said: “I think what it was like in those early days, you have this little newborn, they are so fragile and there were so many diseases at the time she was born, I felt so protective of her.
‘Cause I was kind of like, “Oh, watch out!” she made him go the other way. He was so full with her.
“When I look back, at the time I was having all the emotions of a newborn and it was probably more of me just being overprotective.
Touchy: Billie Shepherd recounted how she would break down in tears when her son Arthur began to ‘suffocate’ her and their baby daughter Margot after she was born.
“It was his way of trying to show his love and affection, but sometimes it was too much. I would do things like breathe on her, I knew one day I would laugh about it, but at that moment it would make me cry.
Billie went on to detail how she thinks her young son felt a bit “pushed” when he welcomed Margot, because he had always been the baby of the family.
She explained that he was jealous and had grown especially fond of her when she was pregnant with their third child.
Instead, Nelly, who is used to playing the role of big sister, has adapted like a duck to water and Billie said she has been ‘very good’ with little Margot.
She explained that Nelly “wasn’t that worried at first” but now asks her daughter to keep an eye on Margot as she leaves the room for a moment.
It comes after Billie said she would rather sleep alone with her three-month-old daughter than with her husband while discussing life as a busy mother of three.
She revealed that they’re like ‘musical beds’ in her home and admitted that she often turns Greg down to get better sleep.
Billie explained, “Since she’s so little, I told Greg that I’d rather be alone in bed with her.”
“I think I sleep better and she sleeps better when it’s just the two of us, but Greg was in bed last night.”
Happy family: The Family Diaries star, 32, welcomed her youngest daughter, Margot, into the world in December, and has revealed how her eldest daughter, Nelly, eight, and son Arthur, six , have adapted to the new arrival.
Billie added: ‘It’s a bit like musical beds in our house. You just do what you have to do sometimes.
The television personality and Greg are also parents to eight-year-old Nelly and a five-year-old son, Arthur.
The interview was published days after Billie and her sister Sam broke their silence online after their former friend Ferne McCann told James Argent why he made cruel comments about Sam.
Former TOWIE star Ferne, 32, couldn’t contain her emotions as she discussed her fallout with her best friend Bille, whom she’d known since their school years, after the voice memo scandal leaked.
In the premiere of ITVBe’s First Time Mum series, Ferne confessed that she recorded the ‘hurtful’ messages because she was envious of her sister Sam at the time.
Older sister! Instead, Nelly, who is used to playing the role of big sister, has adapted like a duck to water and Billie said that she has been ‘very good’ with little Margot.
Since the emotional scenes aired on Wednesday night, Sam has been quiet on social media, but now he’s back on Instagram.
Posting a flashback snapshot, Sam said she was living her best life with her friends as she posed next to them, minus Ferne.
Elsewhere, Billie also broke her silence on social media when she took to Instagram to share a sweet family photo after Ferne’s admissions.

Arrangements: Speaking in an interview with Ok! Magazine Monday, she explained: “Since she’s so little, I told Greg, I’d rather be alone in bed with her.”
On the show, Ferne claimed to know who was behind the leak, which was seen by an anonymous Instagram account, called Lady Whistledown after the Bridgerton gossip sharer, posted a series of voicemails from a woman who claimed she was Fern last year.
One heard a woman’s voice label one of Arthur Collins’ acid attacker’s victims a ‘dumb bitch’, while another saw Ferne accused of embarrassing Sam.
She said during the episode, “I’m so embarrassed and embarrassed and I know words are very hurtful.” It was from a time when she was really hurt and in a very vulnerable and bad place,’ she explained as she reflected as she sat in her car.
They were from about five years ago, when Sam and I had a fight. It’s very difficult for me to talk about this because I don’t want to bring up the past. Would you say those things now? Absolutely not, but those for which I absolutely apologized.
“But now, because of this hate campaign and this person who has held you for five years, to arm you against me, I have lost my… I have lost some of my best friends.
I have lost my entire relationship with Billie and that hurts a lot.

Tough: Former TOWIE star Ferne, 32, couldn’t contain her emotions as she discussed her fallout with her best friend, whom she’d known since her school years.
“She’s been my best friend for so many years, and that plays into me not feeling complete, I feel really lost. Friendships are so important. And you say things where if you’re angry, or if you’re hurt, you say things.’
In a confessional, he told viewers that he knows exactly who leaked the voice notes, but claimed they had been edited “to remove their context.”
She said: “When I heard the voice memos I immediately remembered who I had sent them to, but I think they have since been edited to remove their context.”
‘Because? Because I believe that someone is trying to destroy me and inflict as much damage as possible on my life. There is only one person that I know of who would want to inflict this amount of pain and damage on my life. They destroyed me.
