A 50-metre James Bond superyacht named 007 has sailed again just months after it sank and was abandoned by its millionaire owner.
The ship – believed to be owned by a Swiss businessman but flying a British flag – was abandoned off the coast of Greece after it capsized and overturned.
Originally set out just 15 meters from the picturesque Kolona Bay on the island of Kythnos, the superyacht has been in the water since the incident last September.
But after the Greek authorities informed the owner through a bailiff that they had a month to resolve the situation and remove the boat from the beautiful coastline or risk heavy fines, the superyacht has been recovered.
Now, after half a year, 007 has been lifted out of the sea and ready to set sail again.

The superyacht was just 15 meters from the picturesque Kolona Bay on the island of Kythnos and had remained there since the incident last September
The mayor of Kythnoi, Stamatis Garderis, who has been working to retrieve the sunken ship from paradise, announced that the ship has been recovered.
He wrote on Facebook in Greek: ‘Ready to set sail. It’s a matter of hours before 007 is removed.”
He posted photos of the superyacht being lifted out of the sea on Kolona beach, a narrow strip of land connecting Kythnos to the islet of Agios Loukas.
The island is not averse to extravagant ships anchoring on the shoreline as it is a popular destination for yachts and boats.
The boat originally capsized after the GPS malfunctioned. It reportedly guided the boat to shore before starting heavy lifting on the port side as the water began to rush in.
In the September incident, the Coast Guard answered distress calls and the five passengers on board were quickly rescued. The boat began to sink on Friday evening and on Saturday the yacht was completely submerged.

The 007 can accommodate up to 10 passengers and five crew members on board. It has a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure.

The superyacht was developed in 2006 by Bodrum-based shipyard Aegean Yachts and rescuers were able to contain it with a floating seawall, limiting pollution.
It is the third largest yacht built by Aegean and was last sold in 2012, according to Superyacht Times.
The ship has a top speed of 12 knots and has five cabins including a master suite.
