President Joe Biden took a verbal detour during his visit to the border to confront climate change deniers.
Biden ridiculed climate change skeptics during his high-profile visit to Brownsville, Texas, in remarks broadcast live on cable networks. He had just given an update on the Smokehouse Creek wildfires that have swept through the Texas Panhandle and spread into Oklahoma.
That brought a chorus about all the other wildfires Biden has toured as president.
‘The idea that climate change does not exist. I like that, dude. “I love some of my Neanderthal friends who still think there is no climate change,” he said.
“Well, my administration will continue to build on the progress we’ve made against the climate crisis,” Biden promised.
President Joe Biden began his remarks at the border by talking about wildfire damage in Texas, then attacked people saying ‘climate change doesn’t exist’
He referenced some of his trips to fire devastation, during a border trip that Republican critics called a “photo op.” That included devastating fire damage in California, Hawaii and New Mexico and other locations.
“I’ve flown in a lot of these wildfires since they’ve been president. And by the way, I’ve been out West as a helicopter in the Southwest and Northwest, flown over more land burned to the ground – all the vegetation gone, than this entire state of Maryland, (per) square foot.”
He said FEMA has already guaranteed that Texas And Oklahoma are reimbursed for the costs of keeping people safe.

The Smokehouse Creek Fire is officially the largest and most destructive fire in Texas history as it destroys more than 1.1 million acres of land. At the same time, other parts of the Panhandle are being pummeled by snow.
Biden was not the only one who deviated during the border dispute with Trump.
Trump again raised his claims of 2020 election fraud during his border visit.
