Bendigo Bank’s app and online banking were hit by an outage this afternoon, leaving many unable to make online transactions.
Affected customers were unable to make purchases during the busy lunch period on Thursday afternoon because they were unable to transfer money between accounts.
‘We are aware of a problem with e-banking and the app. Our technology teams are investigating this. We will continue to update you on this message as we learn more.”
Many Aussies were unimpressed by the outage.
“Great, I’m trying to get radiation treatment and again, I can’t transfer money to get there…not happy,” one person said.
“That’s officially the nail in the coffin for me,” a second added.
A third said: ‘I’ve been at this bank for 16 years and I’m so sick of this happening all the time. Move to another bank TODAY!’
‘I’ve been wasting my free time, unable to get groceries. And all of you in the banking industry want to go cashless, what a joke,” said a third.
