Out of this world! Bebe Rexha goes for a futuristic look with pointy shoulder pads and electric blue gloves at the French awards ceremony in Cannes

Bebe Rexha exuded retro chic as she hit the red carpet at the iconic Palace Of Festivals And Congresses in Cannes this week.

The 33-year-old pop act was not there for the world-famous film festival, but for the NRJ Music Awards presented by a French media company of the same name.

For her last public appearance, Bebe was decked out in a futuristic look with a luxurious long dress and a pair of opera gloves.

Bebe, who was born in Brooklyn to Albanian immigrants from Yugoslavia, opted for a tight black dress with upturned shoulders.

The dress accentuated her enviable hourglass figure and was a striking contrast to her electric blue gloves.

She sharpened the features of her screen siren with eye makeup to match her gloves and complemented her blonde hair with gold earrings.

The I Can’t Stop Drinking About You singer seemed to be having a great time on the red carpet, where she blew a kiss to the cameras.

She and David Guetta have been nominated for two NRJ Awards – international song of the year and best cover/edit – for their new duet I’m Good (Blue).

I’m Good (Blue) samples so extensively from the 1998 song Blue (Da Ba Dee) by the Italian group Eiffel 65 that the writers of the old song got credit on the new one.

Bebe’s latest trip to France comes four years after a viral Twitter blunder in which she apparently was unaware that Paris was occupied by the Nazis from 1940 to 1944.

In response to a tweet that read, “If you had the chance to time travel. Where would you go?’ the blonde singer shared, “I would go to Paris in the 1940s.”

When one disbelieving Twitter user replied, “Girl….. do you know what Paris was like back then?” Bebe wrote, “Girl, I failed history. I just googled it,” with a facepalm emoji.
