Lucas Holer’s volley in the 87th minute secured Freiburg a point, while Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich lost even more ground on leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
Bayern were playing in their 2,000th Bundesliga match – the first team to reach that milestone – but fell behind to Christian Gunter’s thunder 12 minutes into the match.
Mathys Tel equalized for the visitors before half-time, while Jamal Musiala curled a shot into the far corner to put Bayern 2-1 with 15 minutes to play before being withdrawn three minutes before the end of regular time.
