Bam Margera is RELEASED from Mental Hospital and is going to Lamar Odom Rehabilitation Center

Bam Margera was released from a mental hospital on Wednesday, after being admitted to a 5150 mental institution, and headed straight to a rehab center run by Lamar Odom.

The 43-year-old TV personality, sources said TMZwas personally greeted by Odom, 43, as he was released from the hospital and is on his way to detox at one of the Odom Wellness Treatment Centers run by the NBA alum.

The Viva La Bam star is currently detoxing in one of Odom’s facilities, and after that process is complete, he goes to another place that Odom owns.

On Tuesday, Odom visited the Jackass alum at the medical facility where he was being held to expand the offer to stay at one of his facilities during his difficult times.

Odom was “serious” about his offer of help to Margera, according to insiders TMZadding that the one-time MTV star was “amenable to going to rehab” and “chuffed it out” with Odom during the meeting.

Odom has opened three treatment facilities across the country, two of which are located in Southern California, the outlet reported. They include Project West in San Diego, Wavelengths in Huntington Beach, California, and Gold Bridge Addiction Center in Louisburg, Kansas.

It was not immediately clear to which institution Margera was taken after his discharge from the hospital.

Insiders told the outlet that Margera is focused on rehabilitating herself for the sake of his five-year-old son Phoenix, who he shares with his estranged wife Nicole Boyd, 39.

Margera was located by authorities on Sunday at a Trejo’s Tacos location in Los Angeles and taken in for a 5150 psychiatric arrest after he threatened to take his own life if he couldn’t reunite with his son on social media.

Margera had taken to social media on Thursday in a clip he later deleted claiming he would smoke crack until his death unless he could see his son.

“I haven’t seen Phoenix in two goddamn months,” Margera said. “I have to wake up every day knowing I probably won’t speak or see him.”

In the clip, Margera was critical of Boyd for not letting him talk to their son, as well as his parents April and Phil Margera, who said they were urging him to drink.

“I’m gonna smoke crack with the bums on the goddamn boardwalk until I’m dead unless you get me goddamn Phoenix,” he said in the clip. “Go to work Nikki, or whoever wants to help. I want Phoenix.’

That’s what Margera’s attorney Peter W. Thompson said last week TMZ Wednesday, said Boyd had taken steps to have Margera sealed off from Phoenix for the past two months amid their pending lawsuits.

Boyd has not allowed Margera to communicate with his child via phone or FaceTime, Thompson said, adding that the last time the Viva La Bam star had contact with his child was on March 29 during a personal visit in California.

That interaction didn’t go well, as did Margera seen in a clip on the site arguing with Boyd at a restaurant in Burbank, California over time spent with the child. The Jackass alum was arguing with Boyd in the clip, telling her, “Phoenix has a mind of its own. Let him have his own opinion!’

He was subsequently arrested in connection with public intoxication in the aftermath of the incident.

That was the last time Margera had any communication with his son, Thompson told the outlet.

Boyd and Margera separated in 2021 and in September of that year Boyd went to court to seek full custody of their son.

Boyd filed for legal separation from Margera in Los Angeles last February, saying the cause was irreconcilable differences, and asked the court to award her spousal support, as well as legal and physical custody of their child.

Thompson told the outlet that Margera and Boyd had unsuccessfully tried to set up a routine where he would talk to his son via FaceTime, but it never worked out.

Margera’s camp said they find it “completely unreasonable” for Boyd not to record the FaceTime or phone calls he made because it poses no danger to the child, the outlet reported.

Margera complained to the court about the matter, and Boyd replied that she was fine with him visiting the child, provided they took place in California, where she lives, and he was sober.

Sources told the outlet that Margera continues to pay Boyd’s house and car expenses, and that he remains willing to work out an arrangement with Boyd and her attorneys for any level of communication.

Boyd’s attorney David Glass cited Margera’s behavior in his response to the outlet.

“From Nikki’s perspective, Bam’s ongoing instability is what makes connecting between him and Phoenix difficult,” Glass said. “But Nikki remains open to regular FaceTime communication, as long as Bam is not disturbed during the conversations, and as long as Bam doesn’t belittle Nikki during the conversations.”
