Ballarat: Manhunt for driver of this grey ute who cops allege drove alongside children and performed lewd acts

Police have appealed for public information about the driver of a gray ute after claims he committed a series of lewd acts in the presence of children.

Security footage captured the car driving slowly near pedestrians during six incidents at locations in Ballarat, 120 kilometers northeast of Melbourne, since April 10.

Victoria Police allege an unknown man on the street “exposed himself and performed a sexual act in front of the victims” in five of those incidents.

Four of these incidents involved children between the ages of 10 and 14.

Investigators say the driver is a middle-aged white man.

In an appeal for information from the public, police have released images of the car believed to have been involved in the scandalous acts.

It shows the car driving around Wendouree, north-west Ballarat and east Balarat.

The car is believed to be a Mazda BT-50 with a freestyle cab, steel box, silver bull bar and dark colored wheels.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

– May 6 at 8:40am near Eureka Street and Kline Street, Ballarat East

– May 6 at 1.50pm near Gillies Street and Huntington Street, Wendouree
