A furious debate has erupted online after an Australian woman claimed that a popular pub served a ‘pathetic’ salad.
The woman posted images of the salad she was served with the $31 parmigiana at the Hawthorn Hotel in central Melbourne on Saturday.
The salad consisted of six leaves of lettuce and a few slices of red onion.
“I’m so sorry, but isn’t this the most pathetic ‘house salad’ you’ve ever seen in a pub?” she began in the video.
‘What do you think? If I just wanted lettuce, I’d go to Woolworths.
The TikTok video ‘Hawthorn Hotel explain yourself’ has now been viewed 78,000 times.
There was some disagreement on the Internet about whether the salad was acceptable.
“That looks so sad,” one viewer commented.
