Aussies criticized for creating a disgusting mess at McDonald’s: ‘I feel sorry for the workers who have to deal with this’
A shocking video from a McDonald’s showing fries on the floor and rubbish piled on tables has left Aussies disgusted.
The video was shot at a McDonald’s restaurant on Bourke Street, in Melbourne’s CBD, and was shared on TikTok last Thursday.
The shocking images show tables in the store strewn with rubbish, with paper bags, plastic cups and empty food boxes everywhere.
Food scraps can also be seen on the underside of the tables, as several guests ate their meals, seemingly undisturbed by the mess around them.
A shocking video from a Macca’s on Bourke Street, in Melbourne’s CBD, has gone viral on social media after the video showed filthy scenes of rubbish on the floor.
The video begins with a customer sitting at the far end of the seating area with a group of others, picking up his frozen soda and throwing it across the restaurant, near another group of diners.
The drink then lands on the floor, spilling the liquid everywhere, in addition to the several other discarded plastic cups on the floor.
The brazen act prompted a man sitting with a group of friends to briefly stand up and stare visibly angrily at the man who threw his drink.
The contents of several other drinks can also be seen splattering across the floor of the store, leaving streaks of the wet liquid.
A garbage bin was seen in the distance, with rubbish piled on top of each other, almost overflowing from the bin.
You can see the person making the video chuckling as he captures the grim scene on his phone.
“Macca’s Melbourne,” the video’s caption read.

“Omg I’ve never seen it like this,” one person wrote.
‘I’ve never seen a McDonalds like this in Australia!!’ another wrote.
Others lamented the filthy state of the restaurant and criticized customers for littering the restaurant with waste from the food they bought.
“Honestly that’s disgusting, I feel sorry for the employees who have to deal with this,” one user wrote.
“What a mess, no respect for anyone or anything,” wrote another.
“This is more than gross.”
A former staff member who worked at the restaurant responded to the post, saying the shocking scenes were a common occurrence.
“I used to work here, it was hell and still the same on weekend nights (sic),” he said.
