Cricket fans worldwide rejoice, ‘Mini Maxy’ is on its way with Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell and his wife Vini Raman sharing the news on Instagram this week they expect.
The couple tied the knot in March 2022 in both Christian and Hindu tradition.
Vini Raman shared a beautiful picture of a baby’s dungarees accompanied by a framed ultrasound picture, announcing her pregnancy and revealing that she is due in September 2023.
It comes after the glamorous couple suffered a heartbreaking setback when they were previously trying to have a child.
“Glenn and I are ecstatic to announce that our rainbow baby is due in September 2023,” Vini Raman posted tagged her husband.
“It’s so important for us to recognize that this journey hasn’t been the smoothest or easiest.
“I know firsthand how painful it can be to see posts like this wondering if and when your time will be.
“We send our love and strength to other couples struggling with fertility or loss.”

The couple’s first child is their rainbow baby, having suffered losses in previous attempts to have a child
Maxwell also shared the announcement on his Instagram stories.
Later, Raman responded to the post saying, ‘Overwhelmed with all the love’.
For those who don’t know, a rainbow baby is a baby born after a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, termination of pregnancy for medical reasons, stillbirth, or neonatal death. It symbolizes the rainbow that arises after a storm.’
The post has been liked and commented on by several prominent sportsmen, including cricket captain Pat Cummins and his wife Becky Boston, England international cricketer Alex Hartley and St Kilda AFL captain Jack Steele.

Maxwell is much loved in India and currently plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. Raman is an Australian citizen of Indian descent from a Tamil family, who works as a pharmacist in Melbourne.
Last year they shared pictures from their Tamil wedding and later they posted a beautiful picture from their Christian wedding where they looked gorgeous in their wedding outfits and shared an intimate kiss.
Maxwell is enjoying solid form for RCB after returning from a serious foot injury that left him fearful he would never play cricket again.
The Aussie all-rounder has made 330 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 186.44, including four fifties. He has a total of 2649 runs, 17 fifties and a strike rate of 157.3 in his decorated IPL career.
