- Dib vividly remembers visiting a strip club with 50 Cent
- The rapper gave him a wad of cash and ordered alcohol
- Dib did business with the rapper, but the collaboration came to an end
Former Australian world boxing champion Billy Dib has spoken about a wild night out he had with US rapper 50 Cent – and why it couldn’t have happened at a worse time of year.
Dib was one of 50 Cent’s first clients when he started a boxing promotion company in July 2012, but their relationship turned sour when the company went bankrupt and the Australian claimed he was owed more than $1 million.
The devout Muslim, who recently overcame cancer, opened up about his craziest night out with the rapper, which he said would “test the strength of many believers.”
“So we jump into his Lamborghini,” Dib told an audience during a speaking engagement.
‘I’m sitting with him in a Lamborghini (50 Cent), my brother is in a Ferrari behind him. There’s a Bentley.
Billy Dib, who collaborated with 50 Cent in 2012, recalls his wildest night out with the superstar rapper
Dib (pictured fighting with Jorge Lacierva) says he ended up with the rapper in a big strip club during Ramadan
“We get to this place, it looked like a factory warehouse and every supercar you can think of was outside this factory warehouse.
“And then 50 Cent opens the trunk of his car and takes out a bag, and I’m standing next to him and out falls a gun, two watches completely covered in diamonds and three blocks of money, like stacks of money. .’
Dib says the rapper offered him a huge wad of cash, which he was initially wary of as he had previously been warned about accepting gifts from people because they ultimately “own you,” but the rapper explained that he would need it soon.
The group then entered the building, which turned out to be a huge strip club.
“I’m talking huge,” Dib explained.
“And there are women everywhere and it’s blaring, right? And let me tell you something, it is the first day of Ramadan.
“I sat on a plane and said, God, make this a successful trip – and (now) I’m sitting in a strip joint.”
It was Dib’s first time at a strip club and he and his brother, being strict Muslims, decided they were ‘in trouble’ and had to leave quickly.
Dib said that 50 Cent had just paid $10,000 for a table and alcohol had been ordered.
Dib, a devout Muslim, said he and his brother had to leave the club
The boxer says 50 Cent reluctantly agreed to leave because of the Islamic holy month
“And I have this money and he’s going to ‘throw the money’ (at the women).
“I said, ‘Brother, I don’t throw money.’ I said that one of the greatest sins is throwing money. I do not do that.
‘My brother said, “50, look man, we’re leaving. We don’t come to places like this, we’re Muslims.”
Dib explained that 50 Cent reluctantly agreed to leave the club with him and his brother.
However, as they walked outside, a stripper approached the rapper and asked where he was going.
“He’s like, ‘Yo baby, you’re lucky it’s Ramadan,'” Dib laughed.
