One man is dead and another is assisting police with their investigation after a confrontation at an apartment.

Paramedics rushed to the unit on Richmond Avenue in Auburn, in Sydney’s west, about 7.30pm on Wednesday but were unable to save the seriously injured man.

“NSW ambulance crews treated a man but he died at the scene.” NSW Police said in a statement.

‘Officers from Auburn Police Area Command arrested a 32-year-old man on South Parade, Auburn, a short time later.’

“He was taken to Auburn Police Station and is currently assisting with investigations.”
