Arsenal have received a major boost after captain Martin Odegaard was spotted back in training on Tuesday morning.
Odegaard has been out of action since September’s international break after picking up an injury playing for Norway, and the Gunners have struggled in his absence.
Mikel Arteta’s men have failed to win any of their last three league matches and were beaten 1-0 at Newcastle on Saturday to move seven points behind leaders Liverpool.
But they could have Odegaard back in their team on Wednesday night when they take on Inter Milan at San Siro.
Odegaard joined the first-team squad on Tuesday, while Arteta is likely to provide an update on his captain’s availability at his press conference later today.

Declan Rice was not involved at the start of Tuesday’s session but it is understood his condition is not a major concern.
There was also no Riccardo Calafiori, Takehiro Tomiyasu or Kieran Tierney, with the trio expected to return after November’s international break.
Odegaard’s return is much-needed good news for Arsenal, who have also been shocked by the departure of sporting director Edu.
The Brazilian confirmed his resignation on Monday after five years at the Emirates and is now expected to guide Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis’ multi-club operation.
Arsenal are heading into an uncertain period off the field and are far from performing at their best this season.
However, Odegaard is seen as one of the side’s most creative influences and could contribute to an upturn in fortunes.
