Armie Hammer joked about being labeled a “cannibal rapist” in a strange podcast episode with his mother Dru.
The former Hollywood star, 38, was at the height of his fame when several women accused him of violent abuse and harboring cannibalistic fantasies. Armie denied the claims and was not charged, but it did end his career.
The actor stepped back into the spotlight and made light of the horrific allegations in a bizarre episode of his new film Armie HammerTime podcast – with his mother Dru.
As he delved into the horrific claims, Armie laughed as he recalled how ‘someone suddenly said, “He’s a cannibal rapist”’.
Dru then revealed that she called her son when the allegations came to light and asked him, “Are there any women missing ribs or limbs?” She said she later paid for him to have a vasectomy for his birthday to protect him from having unwanted children as a result of his infidelity.

The actor stepped back into the spotlight and made light of the horrific allegations in a bizarre episode of his new Armie HammerTime podcast – which featured his mother Dru.
In February 2021, Armie’s ex-girlfriend, Effie Angelova, 26, accused him of “violently” raping and abusing her in 2017. He denied the rape allegations through his lawyer and said all of his sexual encounters were “completely consensual.” were, discussed and debated. pre-agreed and mutually participatory’.
His then-wife Elizabeth Chambers divorced him in July 2020. The former couple share two young children, Harper, nine, and Ford, seven.
Dru defended her son on Monday’s podcast: “If there was anything you did in terms of a rape allegation, they would have caught you – pardon the pun.
‘But you were completely acquitted and we know why. It certainly helps if you’re an influencer and you’re dating Armie Hammer. I’m not stupid, I’m your mother.’
“I want to say it was like March, or something like that, when my name was the third most searched word in the world,” the Call Me By Your Name actor said.
“That had never happened to me before in my career, it had never happened.”
Laughing, Armie continued, “Then suddenly someone says, ‘He’s a cannibal rapist,’ and it was just like [explosion sound].’
His mother responded, “I actually called you once and I was like, OK, let me get this straight: Are there any women missing ribs or limbs?

‘That’s what I want to know as a mother. Because conversation ends if ribs or limbs are missing.
“But let’s be honest: I think you learned not to DM stupid things because no one got eaten, no one got raped. You were stupid.’
“Oh, I was absolutely stupid,” Armie added.
Dru then revealed that after the fallout, she offered to pay for her son to have a vasectomy for his birthday.
“So let’s talk about what I got you for your birthday this year, lady of the church,” she said. “So I call Armie and I say, ‘Armie, what do you want for your birthday this year?’
‘And he says, “Oh, I don’t know, maybe money, whatever,” and I’m like, “I think I’m going to give you a vasectomy.”‘
Armie continues, “Yes. So I go to a doctor’s office and I say “Yes, I’m here to schedule a vasectomy” and they say “Great, this is what you need”, all this paperwork, a consultation with the doctor and he says : “Are you sure? Do you want to do this?”, so I say, “I have two beautiful children, I don’t want any more children, I’m ready to go.” They’re trying to talk you out of it.’
He added: ‘I walk up to the receptionist and she asks, ‘Are you going to put this on insurance?’ and I say, ‘Oh, I don’t actually have insurance’ and she asks, ‘What?’ and I say, “Yeah, I haven’t had insurance in years” and she says, “Oh okay, are you going to put it on a credit card?” and I say, “Oh no no, my credit cards don’t cover this, my mom is going to call you and she’s going to pay for it”.
“And she looked down and said, ‘What?’ and I say, “Yes, my mom gave me this as a birthday present.”

“It was just one of those things where you could tell she heard something and said, ‘I’ve never heard it before, what are you talking about?’ So yeah, my mom gave me a vasectomy for my birthday.”
Earlier this year, Armie revealed he’s grateful for the shocking cannibalism and abuse allegations that imploded his once stellar Hollywood acting career.
Speaking on the Painful Lessons podcast, the actor said of the scandal: ‘No matter what people said, no matter what happened, I’m at a place in my life now where I’m grateful for every bit of it.
‘I’m at a point now where I’m really grateful for it, because where I was in my life before all those things happened to me, I didn’t feel good, I never felt satisfied, I never had enough, I was never in a place where I was happy with myself and where I had self-respect.
‘I never knew how to give myself love. I never knew how to give myself self-affirmation, but I had this job where I could get it from so many people that I never had to learn how to give it to myself.”
When accused of cannibalism, he added: ‘People called me a cannibal. Like I ate people! What???? Do you know what you have to do to be a cannibal? You have to eat people!’
Of his downfall, he added: “It was an ego death, a career death. A neutron bomb exploded in my life. It killed [everything].’
