Arkane announces Marvel’s Blade game

It's not Dishonored 3but Arkane Studios appeared at The Game Awards to announce its next game: Marvel's Knife.

The short trailer showed Blade – aka Eric Brooks – in the barbershop, bathed in red light. We get a quick look at Brooks' vampire teeth before the screen cuts to an iconic silhouette of Blade reaching for his, well, knife. Marvel's Knife is a third-person single-player game set in a quarantined area of Paris during a 'supernatural emergency' in which vampires terrorize the night.

There is no release date yet; According to a press release, the studio is in early development. Dinga Bakaba, co-creative director of Arkane, asked fans to “keep us cooking” before performing a karate kick at the camera. For those unfamiliar, Blade is half human and half vampire, meaning he can go into sunlight without turning to dust.

“As a mixed-race child, I felt a special bond with Blade – himself a dual-race hero,” Bakaba said in a statement to the press. “The opportunity to put our spin on this character is a dream of mine and a challenge that our team embraces with passion. We couldn't be happier to put players in Blade's shoes as he becomes the champion of my hometown Paris, stakes for stakes.”

Before the Game Awards, fans thought Arkane would make an appearance Dishonored 3, but that is not the case. That's because news about its possible development leaked when internal Microsoft documents were leaked during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial period. Arkane's last match is Roodval, which fell short of player and studio expectations.
