ARIA Music Awards 2023: G Flip takes out Best Video with their hit Good Enough as they knock out popstars Jessica Mauboy and Amy Shark

G Flip crushed the competition at the 37th annual ARIA Music Awards on Wednesday night when they took out the fan-voted Best Video category.

The Australian signer-songwriter won the award for the video of their new hit Good Enough, directed by Kyle Caulfield.

Also nominated for the award presented by YouTube was Jessica Mauboy for Give You Love, with Jason Derulo.

Pop star Amy Shark was also among the nominees with her hit Can I Shower At Yours.

Other nominees in the category included Budjerah, Genesis Owusu, Peaches PRC, King Stingray, MAY-A, DMA’S and King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard.

G Flip said their minds were in absolute “chaos” after hearing they had won best video, straight after opening the big night with a hit performance.

‘It’s so great and I’m so happy that the ARIAS is putting this reward in the spotlight. Because Kyle is such a great director and creative and I’m so lucky to work with Kyle,” they said.

The Melbourne musician celebrated their win with his wife Chrishell Stause, who cheered from the crowd as G Flip took the stage.

Chrishell shared her support for her non-binary partner on Instagram earlier Wednesday morning.

“I hope you have that speech ready, honey,” she told G Flip.

This year’s ARIA Awards will be held at the Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park, NSW, with Stan live streaming the entire event.

The music industry’s night of nights is hosted by Today star Brooke Boney and radio personality Tommy Little.
