Omarosa Manigault Newman shared her support for Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election.
On Monday, the writer – who appeared alongside Donald Trump on the NBC show The Apprentice and served a brief stint in his administration – said she hoped Harris would “usher in new energy.”
The reality TV personality also claimed that Trump was experiencing cognitive decline, as she previously did in her 2018 memoir Unhinged, and suggested he is unfit for office in an interview with Variety published on Monday.
‘I think this is what gets on his nerves the most [next] Defeat can come at the hands of a woman of color,” she said.
This comes just months after the former president revealed he hired her as a White House aide solely as an “experiment.”

He also said he fired her because everyone “hated” her and she was “always late,” while chatting with Variety’s Ramin Setoodeh for the now-released New York Times bestseller, Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass.
Manigault Newman – who served as communications director for the Office of Public Liaison in Trump’s White House in 2017 – previously called him “a racist” and claimed in her memoir that he was experiencing cognitive decline.
In her endorsement, she said she still feels the same and reiterated that sentiment.
“Anyone who observes Donald Trump and even takes a moment to compare between 2016 and now — what is clear from what is happening with Donald is that he has a limited vocabulary,” she told the outlet.
The former political aide, who also worked in former President Bill Clinton’s office, briefly reflected on her nearly three-decade career in politics and said she hopes Harris will pave the way for the next generation of political figures.
“If she wins — if she wins — I hope she will usher in new energy,” she said of Harris.
Manigault Newman rose to fame as one of Trump’s favorite contestants on The Apprentice after first appearing on the reality show for its debut season in 2004.
She subsequently appeared in two different episodes of The Celebrity Apprentice: Celebrity Apprentice 1 and Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars.
