AOC’s Democratic challenger Marty Dolan accuses her of ‘screwing up’ New York by ‘inviting’ illegal migrants to take over and pushing ‘radical’ out-of-touch ideas

Liberal firebrand Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez faces a Democratic challenger in June who says her “radicalism” has “ruined” New York and plans to change the city’s course.

“The Muchachas squad wants to turn New York into Caracas,” Marty Dolan said at a recent fundraiser, taking aim at the so-called progressive “Squad” in Congress, made up in part of New York members Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman.

After a long career in global finance, 66-year-old Westchester native Marty Dolan is taking the AOC head-on, insisting her voters have grown tired of the district’s soft-on-crime policies and rhetoric that “invites” illegal immigrants .

‘AOC and [Rep.] Jamaal Bowman are two poor representatives of their people, because they present radical ideas that do not come from their constituents; they are their own ideas. I think the community has seen enough.”

“On June 25, I’m throwing a Peking Duck party — for Lame Duck AOC,” Dolan said, confident that his long-shot candidacy, which will defy the headwinds of his opponent’s national prominence, could prove successful.

It all started when Ocasio-Cortez “botched the Amazon decision,” Dolan said in an interview with DailyMail.com.

Ocasio-Cortez’s outspoken opposition to Amazon’s planned new headquarters in Long Island City partly led the company to scrap its plans to come to New York.

“It’s remarkable, you know, the whole goal of most representatives is to bring jobs to their communities,” Dolan said. “So it’s a serious wound to the district and its reputation.”

Dolan touched on Liberal bail reform, the 14 percent marginal tax rate and embracing illegal immigrants.

‘AOC had her chance. So now she has to follow her track record of queen streets being filled with illegal immigrants and crime,” he said.

“She’s encouraging people to make the trek from Ecuador to the Texas border – tens of thousands of people are dying. The radicals are responsible for death and suffering along this trail.’

And while the former businessman is not a fan of radicalism, he is not a conservative either. Dolan believes in centralizing legislation at the federal level so municipalities can focus on issues like crime and infrastructure.

He said one of the first things he would do during his term would be a “symbolic” step: change the U.S. motto from “In God we trust” back to “E Pluribus Unum,” or “Out of many, one.”

‘We are one country, we are not fifty states. And we are not Democrats and Republicans.’

“The New York City Council is behaving as if they are the founding fathers of New York under the Constitution once again. But what they should be doing instead is making sure the basic services of public safety are known, cleaning up the trash.”

Dolan continued, “What I’m saying is that what Alexander Hamilton and George Washington would do is they would say, you know, we can’t have different abortion laws in every state. We may have different gun control laws in each state. We can’t have different health care laws in every state.”

“We need to harmonize these at the federal level because there are many of us as one, and what the cities and states should be focusing on is ensuring public safety. Transport, the basic facilities.’

Next, the Democrat has lofty goals of tackling the national debt, lowering New York’s state and local tax rate while redressing income inequality by raising taxes on billionaires and enacting a “luxury sales” tax.

The bulk of New Yorkers fleeing the state are married tax filers earning between $100,000 and $500,000, according to a report by State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.

“They’re a mother and a father, you know, maybe school teachers, they make $150,000 and they just don’t see how they’re going to succeed, so they leave. Well, that’s a killer,” Dolan said, “because then you bring in an illegal immigrant who takes money out of the public purse, and you can see what happens.”
