AOC backs BIDEN for 2024: Team member gives shocking early endorsement for president, 80, in bid to unite progressive Democrats
Selection member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she would support President Biden’s re-election in 2024, after slamming the president for not being progressive enough in the past.
The self-declared Democratic Socialist seemed to say Biden was currently the best option on the Democratic ticket — which also included self-help author Marianne Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Ocasio, who was asked on “Pod Save America” if she would support Biden, said, “I believe, given that field, yes.”
Ocasio-Cortez supported Senator Bernie Sanders in 2020 and declined to say in an interview last year who she would support in 2024.

“I think there is an ebb and flow, like any presidency. There are areas that were quite strong, he came right out of the gate with the America Rescue Plan, and of course the Inflation Reduction Act was a huge step in terms of our climate agenda.”
“But there are also areas that I think could have been better,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
The New York Democrat blamed the upper chamber of Congress for getting in the way of the progressive changes she wanted to see.
“I think until we have senators willing to stand up and face the filibuster, there are a lot of structural issues with the Senate,” she said. “The United States Senate will prevent this country from making tremendous progress.”
