Angel Reese has openly invited Michael Jordan to watch a Chicago Sky game next week ahead of the start of the 2024 WNBA season, as the ex-LSU star revealed she has never met the NBA legend.

The rookie forward, who turned 22 on Monday, shared her desire to hopefully chat with the former Chicago Bulls guard heading into the first game of the new season against the Dallas Wings on May 15 on a variety of topics. NBA champion – one day soon.

Amid the controversy that one of Sky’s preseason games wasn’t on the WNBA’s League Pass, Reese ā€” the seventh overall pick of this year’s draft ā€” will have to get an early start, as will the others from Sky. star Kamilla Cardoso will be sidelined for four to six weeks due to a shoulder injury.

Cardoso was injured Friday in Sky’s 92-81 loss to the visiting Minnesota Lynx, which was widely viewed on a fan’s livestream after the WNBA was unable to broadcast the game.

Meanwhile, Reese attended the 2024 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday for her birthday.

Plus, she can expect big crowds this season, as WNBA ticket sales on StubHub are up 93 percent.

The increase followed StubHub’s record sales for the women’s NCAA tournament and for the 2023 WNBA Finals, spokesman Adam Budelli said earlier in May.

The highest demand for tickets was for the Las Vegas Aces, which host three of the top 10 best-selling games. A total of six Aces season tickets remained, starting at $906 for 20 home games. Total Aces sales have nearly tripled (up 190 percent) compared to this time a year ago.
