Amy Schumer was accused of ‘cyberbullying’ Nicole Kidman after mocking the star at the US Open.
Now she has taken to Instagram to clarify comments she made on Monday, which were perceived as jealous and malicious.
“Okay, the joke I made was that the way she posed was nothing like how a human sits,” the Life & Beth star, 42, wrote on Friday.
‘I wasn’t joking about what she looks like. Nicole Kidman is beautiful and one of the most incredible actors of all time,” she added.
The Trainwreck star further clarified her position in the caption of the post.

And then she turned on the sarcasm and wrote: ‘To all the people who commented on me. I’m so sorry I’m not more beautiful. Forgive me please. I apologize. It wasn’t even a slow news day.
“North Korea and Russia are getting too close for comfort. Deadly storms are sweeping across our world and a man has been convicted of rape,” she added.
“But what made you crazy was when I said Nicole Kidman’s pose wasn’t human. Breathe y’all.
“To the people who write hateful things below, I forgive you as a mother, as a woman and especially as someone who also enjoys hot gossip. Have a nice weekend,” she concluded.
All this fuss started on Monday when the American comedian shared a photo of the Australian actress, 56, at the US Open tennis tournament on Instagram.
The photo showed Nicole in a pink dress, staring wide-eyed into the camera with her hand under her chin as she attended the women’s singles final between American sensation Coco Gauff and world champion Aryna Sabalenka.
Under the photo, Schumer wrote in the caption, “This is how people sit.”
Many fans appreciated the joke at Kidman’s expense, but others weren’t as impressed and used the comments to express their displeasure.

Another fan expressed his disappointment with Schumer.

Sources close to Kidman revealed the Moulin Rouge star paid no attention to the furor, telling DailyMail.com: ‘It’s a bit silly and she’s not upset.’
Nicole looked glamorous while playing tennis in a chic suit with pocket details and three buttons.
She finished her look with a tailored white jacket and cream loafers, and kept her accessories to a minimum with a simple wristwatch.
The Moulin Rouge! The star wore her strawberry blonde locks in a low-maintenance side ponytail for the outing, and kept her makeup palette understated for the hottest ticket in town.
Following Gauff’s triumphant win, Nicole took to Instagram to congratulate the 19-year-old.
‘Congratulations Coco! Thank you US Open! Great Women’s Final 2023,” she wrote alongside the images shared on Instagram.
Coco made a brilliant comeback to claim the US Open, with a win Sabalenka would become a 2-6 6-3 6-2 winner.
