Anne Hathaway was spotted at a Shiseido event in New York City on Friday.

The movie icon has been announced as the face of the brand’s Vital Perfection line.

The Oscar-winning star dazzled in a sleeveless gold dress with a mermaid trim and gold strappy heels.

With her chocolate brown hair parted to the side and worn in soft waves, the New Yorker looked ready for her close-up.

Earlier this week, the 40-year-old star was seen in the company’s new print ads, where she wore a cream-colored silk camisole.

The ad states ‘potential knows no age.’

This comes after the Devil Wears Prada actress said she feels “honored” to represent Shiseido.

The critically acclaimed star was recently named as the face of Shiseido’s Vital Perfection line, and Anne is thrilled to be working with the Japanese beauty brand.

The Hollywood star said she has enormous admiration and respect for the brand.

“I’m so honored that they thought I was a good fit. They are a brand that has been synonymous with the highest quality for generations; they have such integrity,” Anne, 40, said Fashion.

“I’m just really happy that they felt that I’m someone who can reflect that effectively.”

What she plugs in is a cream that promises to “lift and firm skin, revealing a dramatically revitalized and sculpted complexion with renewed fullness and bounce.”

It claims to ‘visibly lift skin in just 1 week and reveal a dramatically firmer, revitalized complexion with this rich sculpting anti-aging cream for dry skin.’

One of the ingredients is VP8 technology which “slows the aging process with five targeted ingredients including extracts of olive root, tea and angelica to target wrinkles and dullness,” according to the website.

One jar costs $140.

Anne also praised the company’s ‘global’ evolution.

When asked what she admires most about the brand, Anne explained: ‘The care, the thoughtfulness, the accuracy and the passion.

‘That passion is something where the volume can be turned up all the way, but it is also something that can be very quiet at the same time.

‘And that doesn’t detract from its intensity.

‘I feel that my relationship with Shiseido has allowed me to see with much more clarity, depth and appreciation.
