“I’ve talked a lot about living my truth and so this is part of it. I’m okay with having these conversations because there isn’t a couple that doesn’t. And so yeah, I don’t want to, and I know you don’t either, create a false narrative that somehow we’re the perfect couple and we’ve found our true love and that means we never fight that we can always get along. and things are rosy and wonderful. No they are not.
“And even though we know each other now more than most people who have been in a relationship for more than a year, we’ve known each other for about ten years now and we know each other very, very well… like I learn things about it every day you as we are, we have always worked together, but working with this kind of pressure above our heads is something completely different. The pressure is great.’
“Are you talking about the workload or the pressure we are now publicly exerting to succeed as a couple?” TJ asked.
‘I don’t feel the pressure from the public to stay with you. I know you well enough and I spent enough time with you and I knew how I felt and love is sometimes a choice when it’s hard. It’s not just a feeling. Lust is a feeling, but love is a choice, I believe, and I chose to love you, so I feel no pressure from the public to be with you. I would personally be devastated because I want to be with you and I chose you.
Amy broke down in tears as she opened up about the loss of her job and the future of her career: “But I feel the pressure of our careers that I think we’ve unfairly taken from us, and I really want to would like to be able to do that. what I like and I want to be able to do it with you, so that’s more the pressure I feel.’
